About Us

The Blue Sky Centre Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) is managed by G4S Health Services, as commissioned by NHS England.

The SARC is funded through a partnership which comprises: Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Police, West Midlands Police and NHS England.

The Blue Sky Centre is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Staffing
The SARC has a full-time Manager and Deputy Manager/Administrator and a part-time Crisis Worker/Administrator.  A team of flexi Crisis Workers provide an on-call availability 24/7 365 days a year.  The current Manager is male.

The SARC has two full-time Forensic Nurse Examiners and as with Crisis Workers 24/7 on-call coverage is provided by a team of Doctors and Nurses, both male and female.

Clinical staff are experienced in Sexual Forensic Examination and ancillary healthcare. They are required to provide evidence of constant professional development and are subject to regular peer review and clinical.supervision

Our Crisis Workers are from a wide variety of backgrounds, mostly non-clinical.  They undergo an extensive Induction programme and subsequent on the job training in a variety of areas.
